To resolve this, they have decided to hold a contest where each nominates a less experienced trainer to compete for control of the Pokémon League. In addition to Gym battles, players will face off against various trainers, wild Pokémon, and other challenges as they progress through the game. The Elite Four, a group of powerful trainers, serve as the final hurdle before players can challenge the Pokémon League Champion.
